Amman landscapes
Amman is the capital of Jordan and one of the largest cities in the Levant with a population of around 4 million people. The country borders Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Syria and has gone through immense change due to the ongoing conflicts since the start of the Iraq war in 2003, the Syrian civil war, and the rise and fall of Daesh (IS).
The city has expanded quickly with huge class differences and is dealing with patriarchal norms and as well a huge lack of democracy with a ruling monarchy on top of it. Built on various hills the city still offers grand views and great company.
