Crossing the Taurus Mountains

The Taurus Mountains (Turkish: Toros Dağları), are a mountain complex in southern Turkey. The highest peak is about 5000 metres. Few people travel during winter due to the harsh weather conditions of 20 minus celcius and heavy winds.

This journey strecthed from Trabzon in the north down to Gaziantep crossing Erzerum, Bingöl/Çewlik and Diyarbakir along the way. 3000 kilometres were accomplished in the time of seven days - despite the challenging conditions.
